Former Village Clerk/Treasurer Charged by Dodge County District Attorney and Wisconsin DOJ

The Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation and the Dodge County District Attorney announced charges against Deanna B. Braunschweig, former clerk/treasurer for the Village of Neosho and Village of Chenequa. According to the release, the charges include two counts of misconduct in office and two counts of theft in a business setting. The release states the allegations involve more than $280,000 allegedly stolen from the Village of Neosho between October 2018 and September 2025. The DOJ release also notes that these are accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
